I've been reading The First Days of School by Harry Wong, as graciously donated to me by /u/emenenop, and I've been thinking a lot about procedures in a high school setting.
Classroom Management refers to all things that a teacher does to organize students, space, time and materials so that student learning can take place. This includes establishing procedures, increasing engaged time and establishing a discipline plan. Procedures refer to how things are done.
Discipline refers to how students behave. Classroom Policies. Students will be expected to do class work provided by their teacher or a book to read. Students are expected to work in silence. In some cases, student will complete a Reflection sheet during detention.
